My DELL INSPIRON 8500 laptop has green vertical lines all over a screen. They always 'move' and sometimes there are more lines, but other times just a few (very very rarely no lines at all, but for a second or two). The laptop has not been drooped or anything. It just happened one day while I was on the internet checking my e-mail. This has been going for a while now. The lines don't get better or worse. They just move around the screen and make it really hard to look at the computer without getting a headache. Anyone know what's the problem? I am thinking it's video card problem, but I don't want to change anything in the laptop, because it's not worth spending any extra money on it. I don't have any warranty, so I either find a free/very cheap way to fix (or at least lower the number of) green lines or I just have to use it as an external hard drive Any help/tips would be very helpful. Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
